With a string of radio placements in the USA, and a well-developed audience, Civil Twilight spent the better part of the last year on tour playing the likes of Bonnaroo and Voo- doo Fest, opening for acts like Smashing Pumpkins and Florence & The Machine, and headlining their own shows across the country.
Steven McKellar, his brother Andrew and Richard Wouters are the members that make up the sound to Civil Twilight’s lush sound scape, haunting yet soothing at the same time. This time, thanks to Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky for being so bold and stepping up, they are supporting this exclusive show for only 250 people in one of the oldest libraries and heritage buildings in South Africa.
THE OLD LIBRARY
With thanks to Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky for being so bold and supporting us, Civil Twilight played an exclusive show for only 250 people in one of the oldest libraries and heritage buildings in South Africa. Thanks to a joint agreement with the CPT Philharmonic Orchestra they were backed by a hand picked string ensemble which made the show a once in a lifetime experience. Now one this country’s foremost exports and now based in Nashville, USA – Civil Twilight have been making waves internationally and this concert was one for the memory books.
THE EXCLUSIVE SECRET GIG
During their first tour back in South Africa since moving to Nashville Civil Twilight played 3 Sold Out shows across the country. We got hold of them and convinced them to a secret gig. Only the date and the time were released via our social platforms. Within the hour all 50 exclusive tickets were sold and once everyone was seated we welcomed Civil Twilight to the stage.
